Curtis Memorial Library is excited to announce that we have a new way to search for books, electronic resources, events and more! This is a powerful new system designed to revolutionize how our patrons explore, manage and engage with library materials and programs.
Aspen Discovery will bring together all that Curtis Memorial Library has to offer patrons including books, ebooks, audiobooks, e-audiobooks, events and more in one easy to use platform. Using Aspen Discovery will make it easier than ever for users to find what they need, manage their account, and stay connected with library programs-all from one location.
With Aspen Discovery, patrons will benefit from a more intuitive search experience. This new catalog will automatically group all available formats of a title, such as print, ebook, and audiobook in the same search result. Patrons will also get reading recommendations and read-alike suggestions. Patrons will be able to find our digital resources such as Libby, CreativeBug, ComixPlus, Kanopy and more directly through Aspen Discovery. Patrons will also be able to download the Aspen Discovery app, LiDA. LiDA connects directly to your Curtis Memorial Library account, where you can quickly search the entire catalog, including eContent, place holds, check due dates, renew eligible titles and check out books directly in the app. The Aspen Discovery LiDA app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, give us a call or stop by the desk for more assistance.
Our Aspen Discovery platform is specifically for our patrons at Curtis Memorial Library, and will replace Minerva. Minerva will still be used to search other Maine libraries.
