For Kids
March – Mid-April, Anytime: Let’s Explore Space Interactive Exhibit
Get ready for the eclipse by exploring the solar system. Learn about the planets and stars through coloring pages, puzzles, and more!
March 30, 10:30-11:30 or 11:45-12:45: Step into the Eclipse with Northern Stars Planetarium, Morrell Meeting Room
Step into the Northern Stars Planetarium’s inflatable planetarium and get a preview of the solar eclipse. What are solar and lunar eclipses? Learn how to safely observe the total solar eclipse. For kids ages 7 and up. Please register. There will be two presentations of this program – at 10:30 and 11:45. Click here for registration.
April 3, 2:00-3:30: Make a Solar Bead Bracelet
Make a bracelet with beads that change color in sunlight and glow in the dark. Join us anytime between 2:00-3:30 to make a bracelet. Recommended for ages 5-11.

Join John Meader, director/owner of Northern Stars Planetarium, as he shares the excitement of the upcoming total eclipse of the sun.
April 8, 2:18pm-4:39pm: Solar Eclipse Viewable in Brunswick and Harpswell

Step outside to experience the eclipse. IT IS NOT SAFE TO LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WITHOUT SPECIALIZED EYE PROTECTION FOR SOLAR VIEWING*.
We will stream the eclipse on a TV in the atrium. Instructions will be available on making a Pinhole Eclipse Viewer on the day of the eclipse.
