LEGO CLUB AND DUPLO
Monthly – check calendar for dates and times.
Informal building and play sessions with LEGO and DUPLO bricks. We provide the bricks – kids bring the creativity!
Available by Appointment.
Children read one-on-one to a trained therapy dog who loves to listen! Sessions with the dog are 15 minutes.
Open during regular library hours throughout the year. Topical rotating interactive exhibits for kids and adults. Stop in and try something new!

Variety of activities and events for kids including science, crafts, music and more.
CORNERSTONES OF SCIENCE
COS sponsors a variety of science-themed programs throughout the year, from basic experiments to explorations with electronic building blocks that make complex technology simple and fun.
Passes for free or deeply discounted admission to venues including Boothbay Railway Village, Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine, Southworth Planetarium, and the Boston Museum of Science.

Stories, songs and activities for preschoolers with Miss Robyn. Promotes early literacy through reading, writing, talking, playing, and singing. Suggested ages 2-4

Join one of the library’s enthusiastic volunteers in the children’s area for favorites old and new.
Fridays at 10:30am, September – May.
Songs, rhythms and movement with Teresa Gillis, followed by playtime. Supports early literacy development and a love of music. For babies and toddlers and their caregivers.
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Children use a game board to complete reading-related activities and track their progress, with free books and coupons along the way. Pre-readers use a read-to-me version of the game. For preschool – grade 5.
